About Nexus Payroll

A registered Bangladesh employer with an HR team in Dhaka

Nexus Payroll Limited has employed and paid staff for foreign companies since 2009. We are not a marketplace or a software layer: we are the company whose name is on the appointment letter, the payslip and the NBR challan.

Who is Nexus Payroll?

Nexus Payroll Limited is a private limited company registered with the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms in Dhaka (RJSC C-176452/2009) that provides Employer of Record, payroll outsourcing, managed HR, contractor management, recruitment and expatriate work-permit services to foreign companies employing people in Bangladesh. The team of 45 works from Gulshan-1, Dhaka.

We were founded in 2009 to solve one problem: foreign companies wanted to hire Bangladeshi professionals without spending months incorporating, and the only alternatives were informal contractor payments that satisfied nobody's compliance team. Since then we have employed 2,300+ people for 140+ client companies headquartered in 18 countries, most of them in software, financial services, e-commerce and business-process outsourcing.

Who reviews the compliance content on this site?

All statutory content is reviewed by Advocate Farhana Rahman, LL.M., Head of Compliance, Nexus Payroll · Enrolled with the Bangladesh Bar Council since 2012. Each compliance, payroll and comparison page carries a visible published date and last-reviewed date, and every figure is cited to the Act, section and year for independent verification.

Our review policy: statutory pages are re-checked within 30 days of any Finance Act, Labour Act amendment or NBR circular that changes a figure, and at least every six months regardless. We would rather publish a narrower claim we can cite than a broad one we cannot — which is why you will not find "100% compliant" anywhere on this site.

How does Nexus Payroll handle client and employee data and IP?

Personal data is stored in a Singapore-region cloud tenancy with encrypted backups in Dhaka, encrypted at rest and in transit, with role-based access limited to the account team and audited quarterly. Every employment contract assigns intellectual property to the client with confidentiality obligations that survive termination. A data-processing agreement covers each client; breaches are notified within 72 hours.

Data handling

  • Storage: a Singapore-region cloud tenancy with encrypted backups in Dhaka
  • Access: named account team only; MFA enforced; quarterly access review
  • Retention: employment records kept for the periods the Labour Act and Income Tax Act require, then deleted
  • Sub-processors: payroll software, cloud hosting, insurer and banks, listed in the DPA
  • Transfers: employee data shared with the client for management purposes only
  • Breach notification: within 72 hours of confirmation

Intellectual property

  • Express assignment of all work product and inventions to the client in every contract
  • Confidentiality and non-disclosure surviving termination
  • Client's IT, security and acceptable-use policies attached as a contract schedule
  • Equipment ownership retained by the client or Nexus, recovered on exit
  • Optional non-solicitation and, where enforceable, non-compete terms

Bangladesh's comprehensive personal-data legislation was still in draft at our last review; our commitments above are contractual and do not depend on it. See the privacy policy for website data.
